About the Journal
The Global Village Review (GVR) is an on-line, bi-annual, peer-reviewed journal, designed to provide a critical analysis of global affairs from an Africana centered perspective. Its primary focus is to examine matters of global significance effecting the African World. GVR consists of three parts: research articles, critical essays, and book reviews. Based on a double-blind review process, the editorial policy of GVR will ensure that all submissions, regardless of political leanings, will be given equal consideration.
Current Issue

The maiden issue focuses on the ways in which Africa was impacted by COVID-19, the most recent global pandemic, and some of the ways in which it was addressed in a few selected countries, viz., Ghana, Nigeria, and Uganda. As has been so often the case with other global matters of importance, Africa has received far less attention than other parts of the globe regarding the COVID-19 menace. Hopefully, the articles in this issue will contribute to filling this void.
